Our mission is simple. We aim to provide a cutting-edge homebuilt experimental aircraft that integrates the optimal attributes of safety, speed, efficiency, and aesthetics at an exceptionally affordable price.
Volato Aircraft and Composites is a reference in composite aircraft structures using pre-peg fiber, fiberglass, and carbon. It has developed the experimental aircraft, the Volato 400, a four-seat aircraft with a modern conception, comfortable, low drag coefficient, economic, and extremely easy to fly. Volato Aircraft and Composites stands in the market with innovative services and assistance, supporting home builders.
About Valato Brazil
Volato is a Brazilian aircraft company established by its founder, Engineer Zizo Sola, whose aspiration was to produce one of the finest composite aircraft available. For many years, Zizo kept a magazine detailing the specifications of Richard Trickel’s TR4 on his bedside table. He had already been constructing a composite plane with the assistance of Engineer Marcos Vilela, owner of Ciel Fiberglass, which has produced composite parts for Embraer planes since 2001.
In 2009, Zizo traveled to El Salvador to meet Richard, a renowned aircraft builder who had produced and constructed over 300 TR4 kits that are now operational worldwide. During their meeting, Richard proposed, “How would you like to build a new plane based on the KISS TR4 in Brazil with my assistance?” Upon returning to Brazil, Zizo collaborated with Marcos, and together in 2010, they founded Volato Aircraft and Composite Parts.
The partnership with Richard continued until the Volato 400 was completed. Unfortunately, Richard passed away from cancer in Brazil just after the airplane’s inaugural flight. However, Zizo and Marcos were determined to preserve Richard’s legacy and proceeded with the production and development of the Volato 400 over the following 15 years. Today, the company has partnered with various distributors, such as Volato Aircraft Sales USA, to introduce their aircraft to the global market, much like Richard Trickel did with the KISS TR4.
Committed to innovation, Volato remains dedicated to designing and developing new aircraft models such as the Volato 200. The company is currently preparing to relocate to a larger 40,000-square-foot manufacturing facility to support its growth and expansion efforts.
